We had such a great day today! Lots of wonderful lessons and a special treat; Tainá, who is the daughter of our instructor Marcele, brought her cello and taught our students all about the instrument, and how to play it. She also performed a few pieces for us! She’s so talented and it was such a joy to have her! Tomorrow (Thursday) is our last day of our summer schedule. We will have our lessons and free lunch. We will then have a few weeks off, returning with our fall schedule. Stay tuned!

Here’s a little bit of a lesson about the blues and some improv we did recently. So much fun! Can you believe our summer schedule is almost over? Today is our second-to-last day so don’t miss it! Tomorrow is our last day of summer programming before we take a couple weeks off. Don’t forget, free lunch tomorrow too. We will keep you posted on the new fall schedule. See y’all today and tomorrow!

IMPORTANT UPDATE!!! Due to circumstances beyond our control, we will not be open tomorrow (Tuesday July 28) There has been extensive construction on the campus of Verbum Dei and we were just informed that we will not be able to access our rooms. We will still be open for this Wednesday July 29 and Thursday July 30, which will be our final day of summer schedule. We can’t believe how fast the summer has been passing by! Also, we were hoping to resume our fall schedule after a 2 week break, but we were informed that it looks like we will have to wait an additional week, so we hope to resume fall schedule the last week of August. We will confirm and let you all know asap. Last but not least, we will be doing a concert in the park at Jesse Owens Park on Thursday August 13 6-9pm. This is part of a city-wide series of concerts in the parks put on by Sounds of LA County for LA County Parks http://www.soundsoflacounty.com/
The address of the park is 9651 S Western Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90047
WCM teachers will be performing, with special guest Mike the Poet and Trulio Disgracias! We hope that you can make it out! We would love to see any and all students of ours and their families show up! We can have students who feel ready perform with us on stage and sit in with the teachers.
Thank you for your understanding and support!
