The expression, "A picture is worth a thousand words" should give you an idea of my experience today. I do not complain 😌 but today was beyond belief. I am so thankful for all the doctors and nurses I have and have had over the years. Evangelical Community Hospital has been superior with all my medical needs. Thank God for each and every medical person there.
HOWEVER,
Didn't sleep last night. Coughed and coughed. Drank 64 ounces of water and went to the bathroom 6+ times.Quit counting. Blowing my nose. Taking 2 Vitamin C every 4 hours yesterday and last evening. Not feeling well today. Zinc isn't helping either. Everything is the same as last night. Not getting any better. My family would tell you I am not one to run to the doctor. Instead, I wait and pray.
This afternoon I called WellSpan Evangelical Hospital at Westbranch Medical. Anna the AI Assistant answered. I provided the symptoms. She asked if I wanted to see a medical person. I said, "Yes." So, Anna disconnected me!!!!!!! 5 more times I had to call and each time the same scenario happened. Please understand that I do not rush to the doctor unless it is serious and I don't complain about how I was treated. However, medicine just isn't what it used to be.
So..........we hopped in the car and went to my Doctor's office. I knew I wouldn't be able to see her, but I wanted them to know that Anna AI is not working. The girls at the desk are awesome. Compassionate and good listeners. My problem with Anna AI was not their fault. So I was sent to Urgent Care in the same building. Goodness, what a difference! They were personable and efficient. 😀 No strep throat or COVID. Antibiotic and cough meds. YAY!!! HOME! READY for a nap!!!
So, Anna AI definitely has a problem. The Administrator needs to talk to her. 😒🤣😀My first thought was, God is this a test? Hopefully, I passed it if it was a test!

WELL SPAN NEEDS TO FIRE ANNA!!!! She is not doing her job!! This was my second experience with Anna and I pray I don't have a third one like it!! It's getting worse.
Instead, please hire some more people like those at the Check In desks at Family Practice and Urgent Care. They do an excellent job. In fact, they should be given a raise by WellSpan. What a blessing that would be!! God has blessed WellSpan Evangelical Hospital with these awesome and courteous staff, and we need to bless and thank those who faithfully do their jobs!!!
