WIC of Iroquois County Iroquois Community Social Services provides WIC and Family Case Management services to families of Ir

The Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program is a supplemental food program designed to insure that pregnant or nursing women, infants and children up to age five are supplied with food products and education which will contribute to a healthy and nutritional diet. WIC offers nutritious foods to pregnant, breastfeeding and postpartum women who are income eligible. WIC also offers infant foods and

formula (to formula fed infants) and nutritious foods and dairy for children to the age of 5 years. To qualify for WIC a woman, infant or child must:
-live in Iroquois county
-meet the WIC income guidelines
-have a nutritional/health need

WIC is an equal opportunity provider. The Family Case Management (FCM) program serves pregnant women, infants, children with high-risk medical conditions, individuals on Medicaid, or are part of a low-income family you may be eligible. The Family Case Management program assists with:
-finding a doctor for your prenatal care to make -sure you have a healthy baby
-finding a doctor for your children's care
understanding proper nutrition for you and your child
-understanding the stages of your child's development
-getting information on how to become a better parent
-understanding the importance of prenatal care
learning the signs and symptoms of 0-term labor
-understanding the importance of regularly scheduled well child visits
-understanding the importance of immunizations
