We hope our students know just how incredibly proud we are of them.
Life hasn’t always given them the easiest road. Some have experienced foster care. Some have known what it feels like to not have a safe, stable place to call home. And many have had to figure out things on their own that most of us learned with the help of a parent or another trusted adult.
But look at them now.
They’re going to school. They’re working. They’re learning how to budget, manage responsibilities, make decisions and prepare for life on their own. They’re setting goals, making plans for their futures and, little by little, building lives they can be proud of.
And none of that is easy.
At Lydia’s Place, we can provide the housing, resources, guidance and people in their corner, but they are the ones doing the work. They keep showing up. They keep learning. They keep trying. They keep moving forward, even when moving forward is hard.
That’s what makes us so proud.
We get a front-row seat to the growth that doesn’t always make it into a photo…the firsts, the hard conversations, the lessons learned, the goals reached and all those little moments when you realize just how far someone has come.
To our students: we see you. We see how hard you’re working, and we hope you see the progress in yourselves that we see in you.
There is so much ahead of you, and we are incredibly grateful to get to walk alongside you as you build it.
