If you need a good cup of coffee or a treat, North New York Coffeehouse is right ion the official trail and it winds through Village of Montour Falls. There are new owners, so stop by and see what they have done with the place!

Join us this Saturday for a FREE tour of Montour Falls! If you are intrigued by how Montour Falls came to be, what it was named when, who the founding fathers were, or why there are so many brick buildings in a small town, then this tour is for you!

As always, these tours take place rain or shine, so dress accordingly! Please wear comfortable shoes. The walk will last about an hour.

These walks are brought to you in partnership with the Dutton S. Peterson Library, Elizabeth Per Library, Montour Falls Library, and the Watkins Glen Public Library.

Reminder:

CVT does NOT go behind the Watkins Glen School any longer. As well, the school parking lot is not a trailhead. This picture is shown facing north as you approach the Fairgrounds lane intersection (trailhead). Note that to follow the trail, you turn left on Fairgrounds and then right on Decatur until you reach the lake at Seneca Harbor Park.

The School district is rightly concerned about having the public on school grounds, especially during school hours. They greatly appreciate everyone's cooperation.

There are maps posted at all the major trailheads on CVT and there is also a few electronic maps available to follow the trail.

Orange Trail Markers mark the Willow Walk.

There are now organge trail markers (painted on trees and posts) that will show you where to go to enjoy the Willow Walk. Not sure who put them there, but it is a nice walk that give you some variety!

If you are heading south from the Fairground Lane Trailhead, you turn left right before you hit Rt. 14. You then go through the Marina until you are near the end and the Willow Walk is then on the right. It is a nice walk through a wooded section.

Hey everyone! Please keep a look out for turtles on the trail and do your very best to not step or run over them! They have enough challenges with natural predators.

Be Careful out on the CVT today. It is pretty windy and there are at least two trees down.
- One is north of the intersection of Rt. 14 towards Watkins and
- One is between Millport and the big walking bridge that goes across 14.

If there are others, let us know here OR better yet, call the Watkins Glen State Park general number to report. They will get folks out to take care of it.
