The Club had the honor of awarding four Student of the Month awards at yesterday's meeting to round out the academic year. π
Bradford Central School senior Korrin Yeoman was presented by art teacher Alyssa McCray, who said that Korrin "does a great job at balancing academics, athletics, and other leadership roles" and will be the school's Salutatorian this year. Korrin is a 3-sport Varsity athlete in soccer, basketball and softball, is a member of Chorus, Theater, NHS, Student Council, and is an Officer of the Class of 2026 - along with being active in her church and youth group. She will attend CCC in the Fall to finish the coursework she has already begun towards an Associates degree in Business Administration.
O-M's Alexander Campbell was presented by music teacher Andrew Reith, who stated that Alexander "puts duty before self, and puts others before himself." He is a 3-sport Varsity athlete as well, competing in volleyball, bowling and track, along with maintaining an excellent academic record. He is a member of NHS, participates in multiple school and community theater productions, choral and instrumental groups, and volunteers his time at the Schuyler County Humane Society. Alexander will attend the Music Conservatory at SUNY Purchase, majoring in Flute Performance, with a goal of becoming a professional musician.
WGHS senior Madison Tuttle was presented by physical education teacher, Courtney Foss, who commented that Madison "utilizes both her mind and her body as tools to overcome barriers, to excel through so many hurdles...she remains positive and has inspired so many people." Madison has overcome two ACL injuries to continue her athletic career as an outstanding racewalker, is also a 3-sport athlete, and is accomplished in the classroom. She told the Club that, "my injuries didn't break me, they built me" and her goal is to continue racewalking at the University of the Cumberlands this coming Fall, along with studying Biology.
O-M's Patrick Croft was nominated by by teacher Trina Anderson and presented by guidance counselor and wrestling coach, Dan Batchelder. Mr. Batchelder stated that Patrick "always found a way to be there" when participating in multiple sports teams, and "is very dedicated, despite having every reason to say no." Patrick participates in wrestling and soccer at O-M, along with travel soccer and ice hockey teams. He will attend Elmira College in the Fall, where he will continue with Club soccer and hockey, while studying Biology and Environmental Science.
Congratulations to ALL of you!!
