Who can identify the Trail Head at either end of this stunningly beautiful section of the MAAH DAAH HEY ? 👀

Hint: It’s one of the favorite sections of many local mountain bikers riding the Deuce. Why?

Because it offers 12 miles of super fun NATURALLY SURFACED Badlands Singletrack Trail.

If you know where this video was taken, drop your guess in the comments! 👇

Bonus points if you can name the closest Mile Marker of this section!

BIG THANKS to Dakota Cyclery Mountain Bike Adventures for the shuttle to Wannagan Campground!

Part of our job as volunteering to partner with the Dakota Prairie Grasslands - U.S. Forest Service every year, is to get eyes on the whole 188-mile MAAH DAAH HEY TRAIL SYSTEM before we bring the fleet of DR Brush Mowers & string trimmers out for the annual BIG PUSH to , in the middle of July.

The most effective & efficient way to RECON 188-miles of remote backcountry Badlands singletrack is by BIKE!

Usually I am riding solo… it was extra special to get to scout the 27-miles from Wannagan to Medora, ND with my old friend Jairo Ramos!!!

And of course it’s always a treat to get to spend time with the one and only Jennifer Morlock!

Life in the Badlands is good amigos!

Huge congratulations to Carol (from CA) and Craig (from ME) for completing their 144-mile through hike on the MAAH DAAH HEY today!

We ran into them on the Never-Ending Switchbacks, 2.7 miles from the end of their journey & they looked fresh as could be, after 8 days of Life in the Badlands.

This is why we continue to partner with the Dakota Prairie Grasslands - U.S. Forest Service to keep the MDH findable, useable & enjoyable for all trail users year after year.
