Thanks, State Representative Paul Flynn for the amazing post that highlights our center!
5-22-2026, Friday! Reach around, if you can, and pat yourself on the back; you made it through another week! And, we're sitting on the doorstep of a Maine Memorial Day Weekend! Let the summer begin!
Pictured here, on the doorstep of the KVCAP South End Teen Center, is the staff and participant of the Center. From L to R, Aimee Morris-Program Manager, Andrea Pasco-Development Director for KVCAP, Me, Rep. Shelley Rudnicki-District 67 , Aliya Bourque-Teen, Anna Holdener-Youth Specialist. Had a visit there Wednesday at the invitation of Aimee and all I can say is WOW!
This program, open to any teen who can get there, provides a very welcoming and loving place for the teens to come after school. They come by bus, they come by car, they come by bike and they come on foot, but they come! Aliya(pictured above) gave us the tour and you would have thought she was staff, and as evidenced by her demeanor and excitement, made it very apparent that this place has changed her life and those of many others of her peers!
The staff's energy is exciting and it was clear that KVCAP has hit a home run in addressing the needs of our Youth in the Waterville, Winslow, Fairfield area.
I would like to thank Aimee, Andrea, Anna for their untiring dedication to this program. I want to congratulate Aliya for her advancement in the level of maturity and advocacy she brought as a proud participant and leadership in the success of the Center.
I would encourage ALL to take the time to give Aimee a call, go get a visit, see what's happening for our Youth in Winslow/Waterville and all the area towns.
What a wonderful model for all.
So, Happy Friday, Memorial Day blessings to all. And remember, there's a cost to living in this great country, the cost requires sacrifice; a cost that preserves a very precious commodity- FREEDOM.
God Bless.
Paul R. Flynn
