🥰 group effort at its finest!

While mom does paperwork at our Teen Parent Education Program, this kiddo works on their own "paperwork" with crayons on the floor with a new friend.

Teen Parent Education Program is in full swing for the fall semester, and is enjoying a refreshed three-classroom space where young parents can focus on academics, classes on parenting and pre-natal education, and other group activities throughout the year.

We stand with those around the country who are working towards social justice in all ways possible. We support our Black, Indigenous, and POC communities and stand with the movement.

Our mission is to build and strengthen families and their children, instilling hope for the future and a better quality of life. We build multiracial and multicultural families through our adoption program and we lift up individual human beings to empower them, to find their own voice, to see their own beauty in themselves and the beauty in all others through our counseling center and other supportive services.

We have added a resource page to our website and will continue to share ways to help talk to your children about racism and the protests going on across our country. Please reach out to us with any questions ❤

A message from Waterville High Schools principal:

Good Afternoon,

This is Brian Laramee, principal of Waterville Senior High School. I am hoping this message is finding everyone well. I am writing to provide you some additional information regarding our school's remote learning plan. As you heard yesterday from Superintendent Haley, our school is planning to continue remote learning for the remainder of the school year. Due to the challenges of remote learning, there will not be any final exams given to students this year. Instead, students will continue working on their assigned school work right up through the last day of school. The last class day for underclassman is scheduled for June 10th. The last class day for seniors is not yet finalized, but it is tentatively slated to be June 3rd. Seniors, we are working hard to plan various ways to celebrate your accomplishments. Please know that Waterville Senior High School WILL have an Awards and Scholarship Night. We WILL have a Class Night. And we WILL have a graduation ceremony. What these look like will depend on what restrictions are still in place in the state of Maine the week of June 8th. Additionally, discussions are underway to plan for group celebrations when it is safe to do so.

While I am assuring everyone that graduating seniors will be celebrated, I must remind both seniors and underclassman that you need to complete your school work in order to earn credit in your courses. It is IMPERATIVE that you continue to check your email, respond to teachers, and complete the required assignments that teachers have provided you. If you have a barrier in your life that is preventing you from completing school work, CONTACT YOUR TEACHER. They will understand and will provide you accommodations to help you. Parents, PLEASE help ensure your child is checking in with their teachers and staying on top of assigned work. Finish the year strong and earn credit!

WSHS continues to provide laptops to students in need. We continue to provide information about how to acquire internet access in your home. If you are in need of either of these items, please call me and I will provide you resources. The staff of WSHS are here and ready to help in any way we can. Please do not hesitate to reach out to us!

Stay Healthy and Stay Well,

Brian Laramee
