What starts as volunteering can become something much bigger. ❤️

For this Waterville Area Soup Kitchen board member, it began by giving her time. Through volunteering, she saw firsthand what the soup kitchen means to the people who come through our doors, and that connection eventually led her to serve on our Board.

In this video, she shares her story and why she continues to believe so strongly in the work happening here every day.

Our No One Is Left in the Dark Capital Campaign is about making sure we can continue to be a place our community can count on, not just today, but for years to come.

We’re excited to welcome a new resource to the Waterville community! 💙

The New Season Mobile Medication Unit has added the Waterville Area Soup Kitchen as a new stop on its route. The mobile unit helps make treatment and medication services more accessible by bringing care directly into the community.

Tuesday: 7:00–11:00 AM
Thursday: 5:00–6:45 AM
Saturday: 7:00–9:00 AM

A big thank you to the Skowhegan Savings Bank team in Fairfield for spending time with us and tackling a much-needed project! 💙

Walter, Mayra, Xabian, Xiomy, Jessica, and Melissa helped clean out and reorganize our basement storage closet, and did a fantastic job.

We’re so grateful for community partners who are willing to roll up their sleeves and lend a hand. Of course, hard work calls for a little fuel, so we treated the crew to Dunkin’ coffee and treats from

Thank you, Kelly and Oakland Furniture, for generously donating a chair for our volunteers to use while serving at the breakfast bar.

Our volunteers spend hours on their feet each day making sure every guest feels welcomed. Having a place to sit and rest, even for a few moments, is such a thoughtful gift and will make a real difference.
