Meet FTSJS advanced student Marie Judith Pierre-Saint! She recently reflected on the importance of social work in Haiti, "Social work is very important in Haiti. Everyone knows that Haiti is a very poor country and that the country is in need of social workers. Trained social workers can see where there is social injustice and know how to advocate for the people. We know what a good life looks like. People can live good lives if they have social workers to advocate for them."

Meet FTSJS student Toussaint Roodley! He recently reflected on his decision to study with us. “I am in my second year at FTSJS. I chose social work after noticing how a social worker in my family, who also studied at FTSJS, was impacting her community. From there, I thought that social work could constitute a means of change for the country.” He continued, “By being more interested in creating a sustainable Haiti and becoming a more involved and active citizen, I can help to make a difference.”

We have incredible students that hope to make a difference in their country. To learn more about FTSJS visit our website https://www.educationhaiti.org/
