2023 ornaments are in. This year we will be featuring Engine 6. All proceeds will go to the juniors to help pay for outside training and other expenses. Contact any junior member, Lt Dan Knopf or stop by fire headquarters during normal business hours to purchase.

The Junior Corp has had a fun and educational last few weeks. They have been learning how to properly advance hose lines, how to extinguish fires with different types of fire extinguishers, and how to maneuver through tight spaces with air packs on.

All of these activities boost their confidence as individuals but also as a team. They are learning how to rely on one another and what their strengths and weaknesses are.

Tonight our juniors learned ground ladders. From basic ladder carries, raising and lowering, as well as climbing and locking into ladders.

Two members of our Junior Corp spent last week at the Connecticut Fire Academy in the Cadet program learning fire fighting skills.
Saturday they put all their skills together in a live demo of a simulated building fire. They both received certifications with the completion of the course.
