The Watertown DBA held their 2024 Annual Meeting to a standing room only crowd yesterday themed Downtown Watertown “Why We Came, Why We Stay, Why We’re Here”.

Speakers included Carol A Loch with a "A Walk Down Memory Lane" highlighting past leaders, projects and achievements of the DBA since it's inception over 30 years ago.

City of Watertown, NY City Manager Eric Wagenaar provided updates from the City Manager's office and Geoff Urda provided a comprehensive update on the DRI projects in downtown.

Shawna Gee Cutuli, Watertown Family YMCA, Kayla Jamieson Greater Watertown North Country Chamber of Commerce and Kylee McGrath Watertown Local Development Corp. were the Keynote Speakers representing the next generation of downtown leadership and Watertown DBA Board members.

Watertown DBA also welcomed to the Board:
Erik Russell - Owner, YRKA Technology - RI
Nicholas Dephtereos - The Crystal Restaurant & ABC50
Greg Stickel Watertown First & First Class Home Inspection

Last by certainly not least Carol A Loch was presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award for her tireless 30 plus year dedication to the success of the Watertown DBA. The Downtown Watertown Community is a much better place for all her efforts over the years.

SEACOMM SUPPORTS WATERTOWN DOWNTOWN BUSINESS ASSOCIATION

SeaComm recently donated $500 to the Watertown Downtown Business Association (DBA). The funds will be used to support the upcoming Native Solar Eclipse Festival, which will be held in historic downtown Watertown on Saturday, April 6. Thousands of visitors are expected and will have the opportunity to experience traditional Native performances, specialty vendors and exhibits. With help from volunteers and local businesses like SeaComm, the Native Solar Eclipse Festival will highlight the history and traditions of Indigenous peoples as the region prepares for the solar eclipse. Pictured (l to r) from the Watertown DBA are Board Member Toni Engleman, Vice President Jill VanHoesen, Treasurer Carol Loch, Board Member Debbie Wilson, and SeaComm Branch Manager Jess Roach.
