This is my prayer, my prayer is that I will have faith like a mustard seed. That God will use me to love the unlovable. He will let me be used to loving the hopeless. He will carry me when I don't have the strength and give me peace. He will direct my path when I don't understand. He will remind me that I am called even when I don't feel qualified. He will renew my mind and remind me what my purpose is even when I can't see it. He will make into his warrior and remind me that it is his battle and not mine to fight. That when I am feeling tempted he will remind me that there is always a way out and he will not give me more than I can stand. When I can't love myself he will loudly remind me that I am his! I am a fighter, survivor, warrior, apple in his eye, his chosen one, and daughter of the utmost high. When I am struggling to know who I am in him he will continuously remind me. When I can't love or forgive myself he will speak to me. This is my hearts cry to make a difference for his glory. To make an impact in a hurting and broken world. I want to truly make a difference in someone's life. I want them to know their life doesn't have to be the way it has been for days-years. I want them to know it can and will get better with Jesus Christ. Some may never know who he is but trust me it's worth getting to know. You don't have to be what the world says you are. You don't always have to be an alcoholic, or addict, or even a person who has been diagnosed with su***de ideation or depressed, or bipolar, or etc. There is freedom in HIM. You are more than enough. You are worth the fight not only will I do my best for you but Christ is just a breath away. He is waiting for you!

Who’s voice are you listening to?

Imagine that you get a phone call from a number that you don’t recognize, and on the other side you hear the voice of someone you know. You didn’t know the number that was showing, but you know the voice that is coming through the phone. From the beginning, the devil has been a liar. In Genesis, we read that he lied to Eve about what God said to her. Through this lie, sin and shame entered the world. The Bible says that the devil is the father of all lies, and that he cannot do anything but lie.

Every day, the devil tries to get us to believe that what God says about us is not true. He uses shame as a tool to get us to live beneath the story that God is writing for us. If he can shame us through lies about ourselves (how we think about ourselves or what we think other people think about us), he can keep us from stepping into the true identity that God has given us. When we know who God has called us to be, we can walk in the confidence that God gave us to fulfill our story. In John 10:27, Jesus says “my sheep know my voice.” As believers we are His sheep; we are the ones He cares for; we are the ones He has saved and redeemed. As we get to know Jesus, we get to know His voice and what He says about us. With that knowledge, we can deny the lies of the devil and shame cannot keep us from being who we truly are in Christ.

Action Step: Identify which voice you have been listening to. Have you been listening to lies from the devil? Or have you been listening to truths from God? List out the lies that have caused you to feel shame. For every lie, list the truth that counteracts that lie. Write a prayer asking God to redeem each lie with His truth.

Have you ever felt like your not good enough? Whether that may be a good wife, mother, daughter, friend, daughter or song of God? Can I tell you something that are so many verses that say you are! Your enough! I have felt numerous times to throw in the towel and say forget life! I have attempted many times but I am still here for a purpose! I’m not saying that I haven’t had my shares of crap. But hold on to this cast all your cares on Jesus because he cares for you! Your an apple in his eye! You are his chosen one! If u need to talk please reach out! I am not a therapist.
