Domestic violence impacts every community—including our own. 💜

The numbers in this graphic are difficult to read, but they represent something much more important than statistics. They represent people, families, children, friends, coworkers, and neighbors whose lives have been forever changed by domestic violence.
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness, support survivors, remember those whose lives have been lost, and remind those experiencing abuse that they are not alone.

💜 On Thursday, October 15, join Haus of Peace in recognizing the Day of Unity by wearing PURPLE. Wear a purple shirt, ribbon, tie, or anything else purple to show survivors that our community stands with them. Encourage your friends, family, coworkers, churches, schools, and organizations to participate, too.

Wear purple. Start a conversation. Share this post. Help raise awareness.

If you or someone you know is experiencing domestic violence, needs support, or simply has questions about available resources, please contact Haus of Peace. You don't have to know exactly what to ask or what the next step should be. We are here to listen, provide support, and help connect you with resources.

💜 Together, we can help create a community where everyone has the opportunity to live safely and without fear.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. 💜

Domestic violence often happens behind closed doors, but its impact reaches far beyond them—affecting individuals, children, families, and entire communities.

This month, Haus of Peace stands with survivors, remembers those whose lives have been lost to domestic violence, and encourages all of us to help create a community where everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, heard, and supported.

Awareness matters. Knowing the signs matters. Believing survivors matters. And reminding someone that they are not alone can matter more than we realize.

💜 Hope can be the beginning of a new chapter.
💜 Strength can grow through support.
💜 Together, we can help break the cycle of domestic violence.

Unity creates change. Awareness saves lives.
