Volunteering is a core part of every Scouting experience. The Scorpion Patrol handed out cookies and hot chocolate at the inaugural lighting of the Christmas Tree in Foundation Park!

Troop 8 delivered popcorn to the SD National Guard Readiness Center through the Heroes and Helpers program. $9,900 was donated toward sharing Trails End popcorn through the Scouting America fall sales program. The PACH program will receive $1,500 in microwave popcorn for their weekly backpack program.

Thank you for supporting our Heroes and Helpers program and local Scouting America Packs and Troops! Your generosity funds fun and engaging outdoor activities and projects!

Troop 8 is back for the school year! The Phoenix patrol is learning the steps to start their Eagle Scout projects! The Scorpion Patrol is working on reviewing basic Scout skills! This weekend Troop 8 had the honor of planting a tree in memory of Ft. Sissetion Conservation Tech Jason Tonsfeldt. He was also an Eagle Scout. If you ever find yourself at Ft. Sisseton State Park, take a minute to find Jason's tree and take in the beauty of the view.
