This club has disbanded and is no longer active"

WBC Members-

Your Board of Directors met in 12-20-16 to discuss the future of the club since we have been unable to fill any of the open position on the board since the planned annual meeting in October of 2016. Because of this, the board voted unanimously at that meeting to dissolve the Watertown Bicycle Club effective 3-31-17 since we were unable to maintain the regulatory reporting requirements that are required to maintain the club.

The article of incorporation clearly outlines the dissolution process and the disbursement of the remaining assets of the club.
- The remaining cash assets of the club will be directed to specific biking related improvements on the Watertown recreation trail system through the Watertown Park and Recreation Department.
- Any remaining assets the club owns which is limited to 4 gal water coolers and 4 10 gal watercoolers will be sold and proceed will be also directed to bike trail related improvements.

If you are interested in purchasing any of these, they are available at the following prices on a first come first basis
- 5 Gallon water coolers are available at a cost of $15.00 ea. (our cost was $35)
- 10 Gallon water coolers are available at a cost of $20.00 ea. (our cost was $50)

Please contact Brian Pellish at 605-351-9837 or [email protected] if interested.

While it is sad to see the club be dissolved, we all still plan on staying engaged in biking in Watertown but just without the formal club in place.

Free Bicycle Rodeo for kids this Sat. June 25. Great opportunity to teach them to ride safely.

Attention all Parents and Kids! Mark you Calendar today!

What: Bicycle Rodeo
When: June 25th 10:00 AM to Noon
Where: Wal-Mart Parking Lot (West Side of the store)

The Watertown Police Department and Wal-Mart are teaming up to teach children how to ride their bicycles safely by hosting a Bicycle Rodeo. It is FREE to attend and open to kids 13 years of age or younger. Please bring your bicycle and a bicycle helmet if you have one as we will be completing a bicycle safety check and making sure the bicycle and the helmet is the right fit for your child. Each child in attendance will be registered to win a free bicycle. There will be prizes, a fun obstacle course to ride your bicycles through, and each child will be presented with a certificate.

We hope to see your child at the Bicycle Rodeo for some fun education! It's a great way to make sure your child is ready to ride their bicycle safely this summer. To register your child and answer any questions you may have, please contact Sergeant Evan Schoenefeld at the Watertown Police Department at (605)882-6210.

Any members interested in an overnight trip to Oakwood Lakes State Park the weekend of July 22 - 24? We would camp out and do a few rides - perhaps into Brookings one day, or up to Lake Poinsett. Also, for those who don't want to camp, they could come and ride with us Sat., then have a potluck/cookout Sat. night. We would need to know soon as campsites are filling up. Post here if you're interested.
