Watertown Community Foundation

Watertown Community Foundation WCF serves Watertown by focusing on the broad needs of the community. We support programs that focus on arts, culture, and the environment.

The Watertown Community Foundation (WCF) is a 501(c)(3) public foundation that works to create positive change in the lives of the people who live and work in Watertown through grant making. Established in 2003, Watertown Community Foundation (WCF) is a 501 (c)(3) public foundation that works to develop and strengthen community in Watertown, Massachusetts in the short and long term. WCF raises fun

ds from individuals, families, foundations, and businesses, awards grants to non-profit organizations and community projects serving Watertown, and builds networks of donors, grantees, program participants, and volunteers to best serve the community. WCF and its grantee partners work to advance education and health initiatives, support the most vulnerable, protect the environment, encourage creativity and the arts, and foster community engagement and leadership. We focus on services and programs that provide support for infants, preschoolers, and their families, and for community members of all ages. We also work on an ongoing basis to respond to immediate needs as they arise throughout the year.

We are honored to have funded Uniquely You’s “Understanding Differences” visits to WPS elementary classrooms through a 2025–2026 School Program Grant, and we cannot wait for the Uniquely You June end-of-year celebration!

As the pilot funders of the parent-launched Uniquely You initiative at the Cunniff School in 2023, we have been thrilled to see the district continue and expand the program.

The Watertown Community Foundation also awarded Watertown Public Schools’ Uniquely You program $4,500 through a 2026 Education and Youth Development grant to expand the “Understanding Differences” visits across multiple elementary school grades during the 2026-2027 SY. We are proud to support this important and impactful initiative.

Check out one of our 2026 Education and Youth Development Grants at work!

Thank you Watertown Boys & Girls Club for all you do for Watertown’s youth!

Last week, Watertown Boys & Girls Club was delighted to welcome Mrs. Taylor Rubbins, to the Club to run an enrichment/cooking activity for our teens. The teens worked together to assemble a 3-course meal. They created a charcuterie appetizer, personal mini pizzas for the entrée and a chocolate fondue and sliced fruit dessert.

We would like to send out a big THANK YOU to Mrs. Rubbins for volunteering her time and to Watertown Community Foundation for providing the funding for our enrichment programs!
