đź“–Did you know that our Senior Theatre Outreach Program includes a "Stories for Seniors" option?

A member of our Watertown Players Senior Theatre Outreach Team will visit your senior care facility and read aloud to residents in either a small group or individual one-to-one setting. This program option aims to provide social interaction, cognitive stimulation, and enjoyment through literature, especially for those who may have difficulty reading independently due to age-related issues. All of our Outreach Program members are seasoned performers who are delighted to share their passion for drama and literature with your residents.

If you are an Activities Director at a senior living facility, please visit our website for more details and program guidelines. https://www.watertownplayers.org/watertown-players-senior-program

🎭We always welcome seasoned performers that would like to join our Senior Outreach team! Anyone who is interested in joining our Senior Theatre Outreach team should contact us via messenger or by sending an email to [email protected].

The Watertown Players, Inc. wish to acknowledge the Watertown Area Chamber of Commerce and the Earl & Eugenia Quirk Foundation for grant funding which helped make this program possible.

Auditions for Summer Drama, OUR TOWN, Scheduled for Saturday, June 13!

The Watertown Players are pleased to announce auditions for Thornton Wilder’s Pulitzer Prize-winning masterpiece, Our Town! This will be the final production of our 2025-26 Season. The show is being produced by special arrangement with Concord Theatrics and will be performed at the Watertown Players Theater at the Market (210 S. Water St., Watertown, WI) August 14-16 & 21-23, 2026.

The production is directed by Blaine Landowski. Any questions regarding auditions or the show itself should be emailed to Director Landowski at [email protected].

Audition Details:

When: Saturday, June 13, from 10:00 AM–12:00 PM.

Where: The Watertown Players Theater (in the Market).

Arrival: It is preferred that auditioners arrive at 9:45 AM and stay until dismissed.

Preparation: No prior acting experience or special preparation is required! Auditioners will be asked to read from the script.

Casting Information: This production features a large, dynamic cast of approximately 24 actors, including roles for about 17 adult males and 7 adult females. Principal roles include the Stage Manager (open to any gender), George Gibbs, Emily Webb, and many other featured townspeople.

This show is a unique opportunity to combine our fantastic youth talent with our adult actors, helping to build a unified cast and bridge the transition into adult theatre. Actors of all experience levels are welcome!

About the Show:
Our Town is a landmark in American drama that tells the story of a small town, Grover’s Corners, New Hampshire, to share a universal truth about the whole world. Narrated by the "Stage Manager," the play follows the Gibbs and Webb families through twelve years of life changes—from the beautiful simplicity of daily life to love, marriage, and ultimately, the profound truths of death and eternity. With humor, wit, and exceptionally powerful storytelling, it offers a deeply moving experience for both the cast and the audience.

We hope to see you there!
