We're giving a shout out to our Board of Directors! Last weekend was the semi-annual cleanup day at the Watertown Players Theater. Once again, our Board members were so excited to start the clean up process that they neglected to take any "before" photos. 😆 But trust us when we tell you that it looks much better after than it did before!
This month's clean up took place in the office/costume & prop shop. The office area was organized and the old non-working printer was disassembled and taken to the electronics recycling location, the over-packed fur coat rack was carefully curated and organized, and the glassware and barware props were purged and organized. You'd be surprised at how many shows involve drinking scenes, which often call for very specific types and brands of alcohol and other beverage bottles. 🍻 All those empty bottles accummulate quickly and take up a lot of space.
Thank you, Board Members, for giving your time so often and willingly to make sure our home away from home is always in tip-top shape!

Recently the Director and Technical Director of our upcoming musical comedy, DAD'S SEASON TICKETS, had a recording session with Matt Emerson, who is providing the voice of the game announcer in the show. Many of you probably remember Matt as Charlie Brown in our production of YOU'RE A GOOD MAN, CHARLIE BROWN, as Kanute in our early productions of the DON'T HUG ME series, as Oscar Madison in THE ODD COUPLE, and as a leading player in so many more of our shows. Matt and Cindy now live about 2 1/2 hours away from Watertown, but they support the Players as volunteers and patrons whenever their schedule allows. It's great to hear Matt's voice in the Watertown Players Theater again!

Performances are Nov. 13-15 and 20-22. Get your tickets to see DAD'S SEASON TICKETS now at Piggly Wiggly or online https://watertownplayers.square.site/s/shop !

Dad’s Season Tickets, a musical comedy, is a heartwarming story of a family with long tradition of Packer support and loyalty, and complicated family dynamics. The family patriarch, Frank Kosinski after losing his wife, has decided that it is time to get his affairs in order and decide which of his daughters will inherit his pair of Green Bay Packer season tickets. With unresolved wounds from the past, the two older sisters compete for the season tickets and the love of their father, while the younger sister, a high school senior, tries to help their dad and the family find their way back to normal. Two sons-in-law add their own complications to the ensuing competition for the coveted season tickets. This all happens in the time frame of the 1996-97 Packer season that culminated in the Packers going to Super Bowl ###I.

The cast consists of Jeff Boyce playing Frank Kosinski, patriarch of the family, Rebekah Landowski playing Rhonda Kafura, eldest daughter, Larry Martinez playing Ralph Kafura, Bryn Scheid playing Gabby Nimwitz, middle daughter, Benjamin Clore playing Edgar Nimwitz, Eliza Zabel playing Cordelia/Cordy, youngest daughter, and Matt Emerson voicing the Announcer. Juanita Edington is the Director and Music Director, Linda Ewert is Assistant Director/Stage Manager, Kara Jorgensen is the Assistant Stage Manager, Jennie Ortega is the Producer and Choreographer, Lisa Steffl is the Costume Coordinator, Blaine Landowski is the Set Designer/Builder, and Jim Steffl is the show’s Technical Director.
