G4V Watertown NY Guitars for Vets is s 501(c)(3). Not for Profit organization. Tax exempt # 51-0662347 The healing power of music helps Veterans cope.

Thousands of our Veterans are finding hope in an unlikely place: behind the wood and strings of an acoustic guitar. We are excited that veterans in the Watertown area will soon be able to take advantage of the G4V program. Because we are a new chapter, we will start initially with group lessons (only) for veterans referred by the VA Clinic/VA Center. Starting small, we can build up a firm base of

awareness and support for the program within the VA and community. We intend to graduate to full Active Chapter status within 6-12 months of our initial startup here. At that point, we will be able to start offering private individualized lessons, and provide a free guitar to each veteran who completes the 10-lesson individual program. Our private lessons are individualized and based on a curriculum designed to help students learn at their own pace and accommodate any physical and/or emotional challenges. Upon completion of the program, we present each Veteran with a brand new acoustic guitar, gig bag, strap, tuner, strings, picks, capo, and a stand. That’s why we provide veterans with guitars and a forum to learn how to play. But we can't do it without your help. Please read on to learn more out about the program and how you can help those who served rediscover their joy through the power of music.
