🌍💙 Our hearts are full. Global Day of Play | August 27th

The CAC Global Team is incredibly grateful, inspired, and proud of the response to Global Day of Play.

Over the past days, we have watched communities across the world come together through play. We have seen children laughing, young people leading, families connecting, coaches creating opportunities, and communities making space for joy, belonging, and learning.

Every photo shared.
Every video posted.
Every story told.

Reminds us that play is much more than a game.

Play creates connections.
Play builds communities.
Play helps people learn, lead, and belong.

What has been most powerful is that every celebration looked different. Different countries. Different cultures. Different games. Different communities. Yet all connected by a shared belief in the power of play.

To every coach, educator, partner organization, volunteer, parent, and community member who made time to play—thank you.

Thank you for your leadership.
Thank you for your creativity.
Thank you for your commitment to creating opportunities for others.

Seeing Global Day of Play come to life in so many places around the world has been both inspiring and emotional for all of us at CAC.

🇨🇲 Global Day of Play in Cameroon | August 27th

When local leaders create opportunities to play, communities come together.

For Global Day of Play, CAC National Purposeful Play Coach Kom Ernestine brought together coaches, educators, community leaders, and peace advocates across Cameroon to create spaces where children and young people could play, connect, learn, and belong.
Many of the coaches leading celebrations participated in CAC coach education, while others joined through partnerships and a shared commitment to using Purposeful Play as a tool for positive social change. Through Ernestine's leadership, Global Day of Play reached communities across Cameroon and was featured on CRTV https://youtu.be/kTmrDp9VGRw, helping amplify the message that play can strengthen communities and bring people together.
The celebrations also connected with organizations promoting peace (IWPG), creating opportunities to explore how play can support dialogue, inclusion, and community engagement.

At Coaches Across Continents, we believe sustainable change happens when local leaders lead. Ernestine's work demonstrates how one leader can support a growing network of coaches, organizations, and communities working together to create a culture of play and advance local solutions for global goals.
