The Clinton Township Cemetery Board and the Clinton Township Supervisor would like to thank Marge McDonald for serving on the board as Sexton since 2015. Marge spent numerous hours at the cemeteries, taking calls for plot information and filing all the reports for burials. Marge announced her retirement from the board last year but stayed on to train her replacement. Ann Elliot was appointed to the board and has worked with Marge this past year learning all details to the job. To contact Ann please email her at [email protected]

For a long time I’ve seen this large metal piece in the lot at the corner of Cleveland and Cedar Streets and wondered what it is. Recently saw this old picture from “Main St, Waterman”. Doesn’t the piece circled look like the Cleveland St thing?!?

Dr Purdy…from Shabbona but doctor to many Waterman residents.

Did you know that today is Dr. Robert Purdy’s birthday and that he would have been 100 years old today? Happy Birthday, Doctor Purdy!! And thank you and your wife, Lois, for donating the Purdy Park land to the residents of Shabbona. Our committee is determined to make it a place where we can all come back together as a family community.
