The activity is a great example of how our lessons teach food science and agriculture!

Happy World Milk Day! Thank you to all those who work in the Dairy Industry. We are grateful for all of you do everyday to bring us this nutritious resource! We are grateful to have the opportunity to share and educate youth, teachers, and the public through New York Agriculture in the Classroom Dairy in the Classroom.

Join us for the Drive with Purpose Show Pig Clinic on June 28th from 10:00 AM–4:00 PM at the Ontario County Fairgrounds!

This FREE clinic is designed for youth ages 8–18 and will cover:
✅ On-the-spot showmanship feedback
✅ Clipping & fitting
✅ Skin & hair care
✅ Feeds & feeding
✅ Pre-show & show day preparation

We're excited to welcome Aiden Bombgardner, who brings years of experience exhibiting pigs at all levels and now works with show families to help them maximize the success of their projects.

Whether you're brand new to showing pigs or looking to sharpen your skills before fair season, this clinic has something for everyone!

🎪 Important Fair Update:

🐓 🦃 Any youth who plan on bringing birds to the Youth Fair this summer must bring entrees to be tested to prevent spread of diseases.

We are so thankful for our partnership with 4-H Cayuga County allowing our youth to attend next week.

Youth from Seneca and Cayuga County who can't make June 5th will be able to participate in Seneca County testing on Wednesday, June 10th 4:00-6:00 pm at Rodman Lott & Sons Farm (watch for registration information next week).

🚌 🐮 🚜 What a GREAT day today celebrating the end of our Dairy in the Classroom lessons with a farm field trip for our 4th and 5th grade students from Romulus CSD!!

A very special thank you is sent to our wonderful hosts at El-Vi Farm in Newark. The wagon ride around the farm to see all of the barns, machinery, animals and methane converter was educational and impressive. Your commitment to raising a healthy herd and protecting the environment is to be commended!

The students especially enjoyed seeing all the 🐄 babies (5-7 calves born on the farm every day!!!) and having a 🧀 cheese stick snack.

❤️ Thank you so much for spending time with us and sharing all the different careers involved in running a dairy farm in today's technological world!! 🌎

⛺ 🌲 A spring visit to Camp Bristol acts as a reminder that summer is just around the corner!! Avoid hearing "I'm bored" and sign your kids up for camp!!

Soooo many different opportunities for kids this summer (day and night, 3 day to week long, speciality and general weeks). Ropes course, animation, first aid...just to name a few! We are so lucky to have a great camp so close to us... named as one of the best in the nation by Newsweek (2024)!

🚌 🐄 🚜 We had a GREAT day celebrating our Dairy in the Classroom lessons with the 4th and 5th grade students from Romulus Central School!

Today's trip was a perfect way to wrap up all of our lessons...your agri-business highlights the multitude of different careers it takes to run a 21st century farm!!
