Each year, our golf outing creates special memories, but this year brought a moment we’ll never forget. When the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital LifeFlight helicopter arrived, we discovered an incredible connection: the flight nurse in the helicopter was the same flight nurse who went with Tate to the hospital on the day of his accident. Tate and the nurse hadn’t seen each other since that day. To have their paths cross again years later was an incredibly meaningful and emotional moment, and a reminder of just how far Tate has come.

🧡 Year 8.

Every year, we’re reminded why we continue to build this mission. The incredible support from our community shows up in the biggest ways, and we couldn’t be more grateful.

Watching Tate become more involved in the tournament each year has been one of the greatest joys. From helping make decisions to now playing in the tournament himself, it’s amazing to see how far he’s come. 🙌🏼

One of the most meaningful moments of the day is welcoming the U of I AirCare helicopter. It holds a special place in our hearts. Seeing AirCare land at our tournament each year is a powerful reminder of how far Tate has come and of the incredible people whose skill, compassion, and dedication gave our family hope during one of the hardest days of our lives. We are deeply grateful that they continue to be part of this special day. 🚁🧡

To our volunteers—thank you for giving your time and returning year after year to make this event possible. We appreciate every one of you. 💪🏼

Thank you for registering for the 8th Annual Tate's Army Foundation Golf Outing. We appreciate your support as we continue our mission of educating communities about lawn mower safety and assisting families affected by lawn mower and farm machinery accidents.

The golf outing will take place at Prairie Links Golf & Event Center, located at 19 Eagle Ridge Drive, Waverly.

Registration & Check-In
Check-in begins at 10:00 a.m.
Each team member should check in at the registration desk inside the clubhouse, located in front of the golf simulator.
At check-in, you will receive a gift bag.
Please stop for a team photo in front of the Tate's Army backdrop located in the event center.
50/50 raffle tickets and mulligans will be available for purchase at the registration table.

Mascot Putting Challenge
We're excited to welcome Herky and Cy to this year's outing!

Golfers can participate in our special Mascot Putting Challenge, where Herky and Cy will compete head-to-head on the putting green. Participants can predict the winner and cheer on their favorite mascot.

A separate table will be available for voting.

Ticket prices:

1 ticket: $5
3 tickets: $15
5 tickets: $20
One lucky participant will win a prize valued at $150.

Lunch & Silent Auction
Lunch will be served at 10:45 a.m. in the event center and will include:

Pork burgers
Chips
Bottled water
Our Silent Auction will open at 10:00 a.m. and bidding will remain open until 6:00 p.m. following our program.

AirCare Arrival & Opening Announcements
The University of Iowa AirCare helicopter is planning to join us. Tate was transported in this helicopter on the night of his accident.

Unless called away for a patient transport, AirCare is expected to arrive between 11:00 a.m. and 11:45 a.m.

Following lunch, the AirCare departure, and the Mascot Putting Challenge, we ask all golfers to gather on the patio around 11:45 a.m. for announcements and a group photo.

Golf Play
Sh***un start: 12:00 p.m.
Your scorecard and hole assignment will be provided at registration and displayed on your golf cart.
Beverage Information
Please do not bring outside beverages.

Prairie Links now offers a convenient beverage delivery service. You may order drinks while on the course and have them delivered directly to your location. Instructions will be provided on each golf cart.

You may also stock your cooler before play or at the turn. Complimentary bottled water will be available throughout the day.

After Your Round
Once you finish your round:

Return to the clubhouse area.
Submit your scorecard to the Pro Shop staff.
Dinner & Program
Dinner will be served buffet-style beginning around 5:00 p.m.

Menu:

Lasagna or Chicken Alfredo
Side salad
Breadsticks
Desserts
During dinner, we will hold a brief program featuring Jeff Kessler.
