Seneca County Su***de Prevention Coalition

WHAT A RACE! 🦆

We had an absolute blast celebrating Prouty’s Bar’s 7th Anniversary Party and taking part in their 2026 Duck Race!

With over 1,000 ducks hitting the water, we certainly weren't expecting much… but somehow, one of our Clear It Out ducks came flying in at 6th place! 🏆

But the best part wasn't winning — it was what happened with the winnings.

In loving memory of friends we've lost, Clear It Out donated the entire payout to the Seneca County Su***de Prevention Coalition. 💚

We're incredibly grateful to be part of a community that comes together to celebrate, have fun, support local businesses, and most importantly, support one another.

A huge thank you to Prouty’s Bar for putting together such a great event and for giving our community another reason to come together.

But knowing that our little duck's lucky finish could help support su***de prevention and potentially make a difference in someone else's life?

That's the biggest win. 💚

Sometimes the first step toward support is simply showing up 👏🏼

Recently, the Seneca County Opioid Overdose Prevention Coalition (SCOOP), a program of United Way of Seneca County Seneca County Substance Abuse Coalition - SCSAC, took outreach directly into the Interlaken community through a door-to-door canvassing effort.

The team visited 172 addresses, connected with 67 residents and had 21 meaningful conversations. Those conversations revealed needs that can easily go unseen — including isolation, transportation and accessibility barriers, limited awareness of available resources, and concerns surrounding prescription opioids, recovery and stigma.

The outreach reinforced something important: need can exist even when someone doesn’t know where to turn or doesn’t feel comfortable asking for help.

By going directly into our communities, listening without judgment and connecting people with resources and support, SCOOP is working to close that gap — one conversation at a time.
