ing back, and not in small doses. Cactus Jack was an inspiration to many and it is with his sense of community that the foundation is named. In 2016, we teamed with Mike Buscetto to create the "Cactus Jack Pediatric Assistance Fund". The mission of the fund is to provide support for children and young people in need throughout Southeastern CT. To-date, the Foundation has raised and donated over $500,000 to people in need. Examples of the Foundation's giving include: providing gas cards to families traveling long distances for medical treatment, supermarket gift cards to people experiencing financial difficulty, filling oil tanks for those in need during the winter months, paying for the construction of handicapped ramps, organizing and volunteering at fundraisers, etc... Whether the needs are large or small, the Foundation is there to assist. Nothing says more about its giving spirit than its purchase of a class ring for a high school sophomore who was terminally ill with cancer. All members of the Foundation are volunteers. There are no salaries or excessive expenses incurred by the Foundation.
