A new device could help detect ovarian cancer earlier, where it matters most.

Researchers have developed a redesigned endoscope that can navigate the fallopian tubes, where many aggressive ovarian cancers are now believed to begin, and both image tissue and collect cells at the same time.

Why does this matter? Ovarian cancer is often diagnosed late, when treatment is more difficult. Current screening methods can miss early disease.

This new approach could help identify changes before cancer spreads, opening the door to earlier detection and better outcomes.

It’s still in early stages, but this is the kind of innovation that could change how ovarian cancer is found, and treated.
