Loudoun Rugby

Loudoun Rugby Loudoun Rugby is dedicated to the growth and development of boys & girls high school and youth rugby. How we started!

Loudoun Rugby is is dedicated to the growth and development of boys and girls high school and youth rugby in Virginia, while promoting an atmosphere consistent with the values of the game. Loudoun Rugby Football Club began its youth rugby program in Loudoun County in 2010. We launched aHigh School Rugby team with the support of the Western Suburbs Men’s club. The team initially competed as the Wes

tern Suburbs High School Rugby team and made it to the State Championship in its first season finishing in 2nd place. In 2011, the HS team won the Division II High School State Championship. In the Spring of 2012, we launched two more age groups under the name of Loudoun Rugby - U15 and U13 boys tackle teams. Later that summer, our first co-ed tag team and youth tackle age brackets were added and we changed our name to Loudoun Youth Rugby, later changed to Loudoun Rugby Football Club. The club now runs teams from 1 -12 grade in the spring and summer seasons. We also launched a D4 men’s team, to provide the opportunity for our high school boys to continue their development once they age out of the youth program.

🏉 Loudoun Rugby U16 Heads to the National Stage! 🏉

At Loudoun Rugby, we love teaching the game, growing the game, and helping young athletes develop as players and people. But we also love to compete at the highest levels possible.

This weekend, our U16 Boys will travel to North Canton, Ohio to compete in the National 7's Youth Rugby Championship at Walsh University. Opportunities like this are the result of years of hard work, commitment, and development, and we are proud to see Loudoun Rugby represented on one of the biggest youth rugby stages in the country.

This opportunity would not be possible without the support of our sponsors, and we would like to extend our sincere thanks to The Loudoun Kitchen & Bar and Wall Street Fusion Group LLC. Your support helps provide opportunities for our athletes to compete, grow, and represent Loudoun Rugby on a national stage.

Please join us in recognizing the players representing Loudoun Rugby this weekend:

“You grow the game the same way you grow anything worth having: plant the seed, welcome people in, and give it room to run.”

Thank you Wheatland Spring Farm + Brewery for the hospitality and welcoming us in.

Thank you Loudoun Rugby families for coming out, supporting the event and helping grow the game.

And THANK YOU, to all the families who came out and expressed interest in the game. We had a lot of fantastic conversations today, met special athletes of all ages and are excited about adding new Ruggers to the club!
