Cream City Canines AKC SWD Trials
April 18-19, 2026
Location: Wind Lake, WI (15 min S of Milwaukee, WI)

We will be hosting two AKC SWD trials each day. The premium is available on our website: www.creamcitycanines.com

We are happy to have Ms. Erin Rezmer (Lombard, IL) as our judge for all four trials.

Based on feedback from exhibitors from prior trials, the uncertainty of USPS and the $$$ cost of special delivery services – this trial will be RANDOM DRAW. Trial Opens March 4th and opening period closes March 18th. Draw on March 19th. Trial closes April 16, 2026.

Paper entries: Mail to Sue Fregien/CCC, 24902 Apple Rd, Waterford WI 53185-4832.

Email entries: The entry form in this premium can be filled in & saved, then sent via email to [email protected].

Online entries: click on the Online Entry link. Once you click Submit & Pay, exit the system - NO PayPal payments accepted.

Zelle payments have NO extra charge. Entries are considered accepted when payment is received, regardless of method of entry.

It was a chilly and windy Cream City Canines' Detective trial! We thankfully avoided rain and only had a few flurries despite 32-degree temps on Sunday.

We had 3 new SWD titles earned!

Tija Mohr and Australian Shepherd Ziva

Many thanks to judge Dave Conroy for his challenging but very fun searches and for staying cheerful in the wind.

The Random Draw for the 29th Hounds for the Holidays AKC trial Dec 5-7 at Think Pawsitive in Waukesha WI was not needed, so all entries are in the trial. There is room available each day. Hope to see you all there!
All received entries have been sent email receipts. If you have mailed an entry and have not gotten a receipt, please send an email to [email protected] at least a few days before the closing date of November 21.

The Cream City Canines July AKC agility trial is open for entries. It is July 18-20 at Think Pawsitive in Waukesha WI - and here's the reminder that Think Pawsitive is now FULLY air-conditioned!

The trial is Random Draw but a draw will not be needed. Final closing date is Thursday July 3. Hope to see you there!

The 26th annual Hounds for the Holidays trial was a success! Many thanks to Mark Sjogren for fun courses and a few groaner jokes.🤪 And of course a HUGE thank you to all the volunteers who made it happen so efficiently - we were ahead of schedule all weekend! Special thanks to Annette Braun for scribing the entire weekend and to Tammy Ausloos who does double duty of gate steward and worker coordinator seamlessly while actually getting to run her dog this time!

Congratulations to Milda Zuengler and her Cavalier Ollie who finished their MACH2, and also to Inge Suchanek and her sheltie Ari for earning their PACH. It is Inge's first ever agility championship!

Cream City Canines wishes all our agility and scentwork friends a happy, healthy and safe holiday season.

It was quite the weekend at the CCC AKC scentwork trial this weekend! Chilly rain and swirling winds made outdoor searches quite the challenge on Saturday - we used more water bottles in containers and exterior items than were drunk! Sunday was at least rain-free and the winds were a little weaker but still an issue. Nonetheless there were a LOT of successful runs, thanks to some very cool hides placed by our judges. Joanne Soyke and Melanie Herbst judged both days, and Amy Wukotich and Bonnie Gutzwiler each stepped in for one day after we lost one of our scheduled judges to a family issue. We handed out 425 Q ribbons and 35 Level and Elite Level title rosettes!! Congrats to all who titled, Qd, and just had some good fun with their dogs and their friends.

Many, many thanks to all of our wonderful workers, many of whom did not run any dogs so that they could concentrate on their jobs. Thanks to the judges for being so fun and easy to work with. And thanks to all the dogs who put up with all of our silliness just to get some cookies! 😁

It was a bit chilly/sleety/snowy/rainy at times, but the AKC scentwork trial this past weekend was a great success thanks to our volunteers who made it seem warm and sunny! 😁Special thanks to Tia and Scott Mojr who were awesome from beginning to end, as well as several others who pitched in in a variety of ways. Many thanks to judge Dave Conroy who always provides good searches and lots of fun.
Congrats to all our entrants, because whether your dog got all Qs or none, you spent part of your weekend with the best dogs around - yours! Hope to see you next time!
