Our thoughts and prayers go out to Union City Volunteers and the family. The loss of 2 great men in the same day is hard but both departments will remain strong with the knowledge both men had provided us all.

It is with deep sorrow and regret that we announce the passing of lifetime member John Fielding.

John dedicated many years of service to the fire company, holding numerous roles as both a fire officer and a business officer. He was also a familiar and valued presence as our Friday night bingo caller for many years. John was known as one of the seasoned members who took great pride in mentoring younger officers and firefighters, always ensuring they were well-prepared and confident in their duties.

His commitment, leadership, and willingness to guide others left a lasting impact on our organization and the community. He will be greatly missed at the station and throughout the town he served so faithfully.

We extend our deepest condolences to his family and loved ones.

Rest easy, John. We will take it from here.

It’s with deep regret and sorrow that we announce the passing of life member Kevin Orr. Kevin joined the department on October 24th, 1984 holding many positions in our department from Chief, Deputy Chief, Assistant Chief, Fire Captain, Fire Lieutenant, President, Vice President , Relief Vice President to being our current Relief President. Kevin was also our main go to for all our radios and mobile units for our apparatus and was a big part in helping us get all the new radio systems ready for our department. He was a recipient of one of our awards known to us as the Gordon Peters award, this award is given to any of our members who go above and beyond the call of duty. He was always helping out with many of our fundraisers. He will be remembered for always being willing to help out anyone in need in any way including in his vast knowledge. There are so many memories with Kevin that we as the fire department will remember him for and cherish in our memories of the truly amazing man he was. We would like to thank Kevin for his 41 years of dedicated service to our communities. There will be a celebration of life held at our fire station on a later date tbd. Once we know the date we will let you all know. Rest Easy Kevin your fellow brothers and sisters got it from here.

It has been brought to our attention that someone is attempting to scam people with our event. If you want tickets you can get them with our chief or at our station. If you see any post saying to call them do not call and report the post. This is a screenshot of the scam.

If you would like to order some before the BBQ you can see any member and purchase in cash prior to the BBQ. All we would need would be a name for the order and cash or check.
