We're looking for some help. As you can see from this photo, we store all of our items for the North branch in a storage unit shared with the Kiwanis Club of Erie. The north Closet is pretty full and there are even more things in there now. It's making it nearly impossible for the Club to get at their things and we haven't been able to catalog our donations as well as we would like. It's also difficult to get inside during the winter months as snow is typically plowed up against the door. We aren't in danger of losing this location, however we would like to see if there is a more appropriate space available. If you know of something that is climate controlled, has a liberal access policy, and willing to be donated, please let us know.

We just received a massive donation of uniforms for both Cub Scouts & Scouts BSA. We also have a limited selection of Scouts BSA uniform pants/short in smaller sizes. If you’re Scout needs to trade up or they are crossing over soon and needs a new (to you) uniform, please let us help.

So for some reason, we were not receiving pings from post comments nor we we getting the direct messages. Not sure why, but we apologize if you've asked for something and the request went unanswered. We know things get quiet towards the end of the school year and we didn't question it. We will attempt to work to get you what you need if you still need it. Again, our sincere apologies.

Three more uniforms went out to kids this morning. It’s crossover season and if your Scout needs to upgrade, let us know. You can trade up with us. We serve all of French Creek Council.

Volunteers helped us to organize the Uniforms in the Erie location today. We also had a unit come by and pick up a bunch of camp cooking items. If you need a sleeping bag, a tent, or your Scout needs a uniform the next size up, please let us know.

This just in! Thanks to a donation from an area university we have a number of Hiking backpacks available as well as sleeping bags. With a little TLC, these items will serve scouts for years to come. If you’re interested, please let us know!

Right now the closet has no where to go but up. We just added items from a troop that didn’t recharter. We’ve got a lot of mess kits, cooking supplies, a large camp stove and more. Please let us know if you need anything. Also, we could use Cub Scout uniforms of all sizes. If your Scout has just moved or needs a Scouts BSA uniform please touch base.

Just a heads up, if you requested an item recently, we are actively working on getting everything together. We've been very much in demand lately and we need to restock some items. We apologize for it taking a little longer than usual.

Thanks to a very generous donation, the north Closet is now overflowing with used gear. We’re really in a pinch and need to make room. We’ve had a lot of uniform requests, but remember we also have tents, some backpacks, sleeping bags, and more equipment. If you see something that could be used, please contact us!

The Kiwanis Scouting Closet is in need of Cub Scout Uniforms! Do you know of a Cub scout that just moved into a Scouts BSA Uniform? Does your Scout need something bigger? Trade up with us! We've had a run on Cub uniforms and don't have many left. Good problem to have, for sure. The KSC exists on item donations and a limited budget. If you have a Cub Scout Uniform sitting around, we could really use it. Please contact us if you want to help.

For those registered leaders looking out for Scouts in need, take a looks at the Memorial Scout Camp Camping Essentials Program. They offer Backpacks, Sleeping Bags, Boots, and Winter Boots. MSC is able to offer one brand new item per year to an eligible Scout in need. There is an application process which ends 8/31/23 for this year. Please check out the website for more information:
