Waterford Township is pleased to announce a responsive Chore Services program to meet the needs of senior and disabled adults through a chore assistance program for eligible applicants.

Eligibility

Waterford homeowners must be low-income, seniors aged 62 years or older, or disabled adults, and meet income limits as determined by the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). Income qualifications are based on household size as indicated on the chart printed on the application.

Eligible Services That Can Be Requested

Lawn Mowing
Snow Removal
Bush Trimming
Gutter Cleaning
Spring and Fall Yard Cleanup

The Senior/Disabled Chore Program is available inn partnership with Oakland County and the Oakland Livingston Human Services Agency (OLHSA) using grant funding through the American Rescue Plan.

Corner Shower and Laundry is absolutely amazing. 💜

"It's a bright new world!" Kevin Reece remarked after getting out of the shower last week. He's a long-time Manna Meal Guest and said it makes a world of difference to have Corner Shower and Laundry right here in the same building.

These kinds of scams abound. If anyone calls you and threatens you with any kind of Goverment legal action or arrest without an immediate payment of some kind, hang up!

There have been quite a few posts regarding food assistance, I just wanted to post these resources for anyone who is needing them. No one should go hungry, especially our littles.

Hey friends, I want to alert you about a scam that is going around. You will get a voicemail or a call from an “officer” stating you have a warrant out for your arrest.

They will instruct you to first go to the police department with cash ($6000) to “bond” out. Then they will tell you to meet them at the “bail bond” office. They’re they will attempt to rob you.

This is especially triggering to people who have had any type of criminal background. They are getting information online, and targeting the Pontiac area, especially.

We have confirmed with the Sherrif’s office that they will NEVER call you like this. They send a letter, or come and arrest you. They do not instruct you to go anywhere, and will never specify an amount.

This also applies for ANY social security calls. They don’t call you. They send letters.

Please reach out to anyone who supports you, if you get a call like this.
