What does pregnancy-options education actually mean?

At Crossroads, it begins with a private conversation about your pregnancy, circumstances, questions, and concerns. You can receive information about abortion, adoption, and parenting while also talking about the pressures or challenges affecting your decision.

Our approach is compassionate and non-coercive. Our role is to provide information, help you think through your circumstances, and support you—not pressure you or make a decision for you.

You will be treated with dignity and respect.

What is the difference between pregnancy testing, ultrasound, and options education?

Each appointment has a different purpose:

Pregnancy testing helps determine whether pregnancy hormones are detected.

When medically appropriate, a limited ultrasound may provide additional information about the pregnancy.

Options education provides a private opportunity to discuss your circumstances, receive information about abortion, adoption, and parenting, and ask questions.

You do not need to know which appointment to request before contacting us. Call or text Crossroads at 203-597-9050, and we’ll help you identify an appropriate starting point.

A missed period, nausea, fatigue, breast tenderness, or other changes can leave you wondering whether you might be pregnant. Although symptoms can be a reason to take a pregnancy test, symptoms alone cannot confirm pregnancy.

Testing after a missed period generally provides a more reliable result. If you’re uncertain about when to test or what to do after receiving a result, contact Crossroads. We’ll listen to what is happening and help you identify an appropriate next step.
