Super excited about Saturday's event! For ANYONE who has lost someone to overdose, to EVERYONE who cares about someone at-risk, and for EVERY ONE with lived experience with a substance use disorder, or who has survived an overdose- we want you to join us, to remember those who've been lost, to learn about important recovery supports, to squash stigma, and to celebrate families, friends, and the HOPE for those we love. Thank you to all of our City of Waterbury partners for helping to promote these important trainings for the public. Everyone knows someone, and this information could be life saving. Extra special thanks to our hosts and first responders at AMR for their constant collaboration and support!

The City of Waterbury and the Public Safety Departments - the Waterbury Fire Department, the Waterbury Health Department and the Waterbury Police Department work closely together in the effort against Opioid abuse in the City of Waterbury. A key part of this process is educating the public, providing resources and working with our community partners.

The police department is pleased to share that the WESTERN CT COALITION and AMR are providing training in the use of Naloxone. This is a medication that reverses an opioid overdose.
