Grange Hall Cultural Center CREATE, CONNECT, & CELEBRATE CREATE, CONNECT, & CELEBRATE

This building was built to have people in it.

Its history is rich with the flow of ideas, the sweat equity of work being done, creative endeavor, the sharing of experience, community service, and lots of celebration of the gifts and talents of the people in this area. In February, 2016, local artists Monica Callan and Peter Holm, became the new owners and are excited to continue those traditions as they create a self-sustainable cultural cent

er that brings the building’s capacity into the 21st Century. With the help of the community, the goal is to incrementally renovate this humble but glorious structure to provide the community with a facility that they have expressed a strong desire. Included in the plans is a dedicated but flexible “black box” performance space in the upstairs hall for the presentation of theater, music, dance, lectures, exhibitions, and film. Downstairs will hold a catering kitchen and green room area, as well as a multi-purpose gallery for exhibition, workshops, classes, meetings, smaller performances, community dinners, and celebrations. The Grange Hall Cultural Center will present its own arts programming, and also plans to work with non-profit efforts whose missions align, to collaboratively help those efforts grow. The building will also be available to all community members to rent for their own events, meetings, classes, and celebrations. For more information, please contact us at [email protected]

New Stage Players reads David Lindsay-Abaire's Pulitzer Prize winning "Good People" at Grange Hall Cultural Center Sunday, June 14 @ 4pm. Get there early to be cast (3:30pm) . Reading starts at 4pm. All welcome. Free and open to the public.

This humorous and moving story explores themes of class disparity, the impact of choices, and the struggle for dignity in the face of adversity through revealing the complexities of friendship, loyalty, and the judgments that come with social status.
Why does opportunity knock for some, while others can't catch a break? And where's the line between kindness and selfishness? Those questions loom large in this thought-provoking play about two teenage sweethearts who reconnect after 30 years. Their common humble roots, and now radically different lives, spark a fascinating, funny, and honest exploration of the ways in which class, race, luck, integrity, and the choices that we make can shape our lives.
