There are--count 'em--SIX CLiF Rural Library kickoff events scheduled next week at public libraries in Vermont and New Hampshire!

This program provides smaller libraries and communities with $8,000 in funding and support for literacy activities, new books, programming mini-grants, and connections with local schools.

We're so excited about the launch of our very first long-term literacy project in Chelsea and Tunbridge, VT! First Branch Reads is a three-year collaborative literacy initiative funded by CLiF that brings local schools, libraries and community organizations together to provide children and families with free, brand-new books, fun and interactive events, and ongoing opportunities to build a lasting culture of literacy in the community.

We're grateful to all of the local partners working with us on this project, and look forward to seeing what we can accomplish together over the next three years!

Hello, hello! 👋😁 Just a friendly reminder that the deadline to apply for the following grants is ✨THURSDAY, OCT. 15✨, one week from today!

📘The Literacy Enrichment Grant offers up to $1000 in funding for project-oriented or experiential learning opportunities that bring literacy to life. Think fun, flexible, and creative!

📗The Early Childhood Literacy Grant provides $2000 for programs working with our youngest readers ages 0-5, including funds for family literacy events, new books, and free books for children. We also have a small grant for 25 free books for home-based childcare programs!

📙The Community Literacy Grant partners with community-based programs, out-of-school time programs, and early childhood centers to expand access to literacy outside of the classroom and create welcoming, literacy-rich environments for all. This grant includes a CLiF author/illustrator visit, free giveaway books, family literacy event, and onsite library books.
