The Watch Hill Conservancy and The Watch Hill Fire District are deeply disappointed by the recent vandalism and graffiti discovered in the Napatree Point Conservation Area. This malicious behavior destroys the beauty of our coastline and disrupts the stewardship of this magnificent natural treasure.

The Conservation Area is home to countless bird species, native plants, and delicate ecosystems that we work tirelessly to protect and preserve. As we prepare for the 2026 season, it is disheartening that volunteers and staff must now redirect their energy to removing mindless graffiti rather than educating and engaging visitors.

The Napatree Point Conservation Area is a special part of Rhode Island. We are grateful to all who enjoy it with respect and thoughtfulness. It takes a community to keep the Conservation area beautiful.

If you have information regarding this senseless vandalism, please contact the Westerly Police at 401-596-2022.

Let’s protect this extraordinary coastal resource together!
