Our History

The Spot was created in an effort to recreate the success Iceland had with their youth initiative to battle substance abuse. We offer youth performance and mentorship opportunities through a monthly under 25 open mic at The gathering Grounds cafe’ in Wasilla. The Spot started in Jan of 2018 and continues to highlight local music from 3-6pm on the first friday of every month, from September to May. Totally free!
