Alaska Veteran Sports & Outdoors is hoping to find a friendly miner willing to allow us to bring small groups of Vets and Service members with families to camp, and prospect a bit during the days and spend evening around a campfire helping them navigate the challenges of living up here, battling depression and help further our efforts to combat su***de in our military community.
AVS&O is an all volunteer 501c3 nonprofit dedicated to making a difference wherever possible. We currently have a couple winter activities free to vets. And are looking for more activities for the summer months. Optimal situation would be a camping area where we can host small groups up to 4 families at a time about once a week. Its a new project for us, but looking forward to learning.
