✨ **Community Spotlight: The Heart of Midnight Sun** ✨
At Midnight Sun Family Learning Center, I often think about our "North Star"—that guiding light that keeps us focused on what truly matters. Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how incredibly wonderful this community is. Like any living, breathing institution, we are evolving. We aren't just standing still; we are growing, adapting, and finding new ways to better serve our families and the unique needs of our students in an ever-changing world.
I have to take a moment to share that I am constantly in awe of our teachers. 🍎
Their dedication is nothing short of heroic. Day in and day out, they do so much more than deliver a curriculum. They are:
* Building Grit: Teaching our students that it’s okay to fail, as long as you get back up and try again.
* Instilling Resilience: Helping children navigate challenges with confidence and a "can-do" spirit.
* A Source of Care: Providing a never-ending well of empathy and support that makes our school feel like a second home.
It reminds me of one of my favorite quotes that perfectly captures the spirit of MSFLC:
“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” — Margaret Mead. This quote sits on the wall of our foyer and when I am overwhelmed by the duties of a teaching-principal, I stop and read this quote placed in our building by our founders. It's a constant reminder to me to work hard, support our people, and listen to our parents, my teachers, and staff on ideas of improvement.
Our teachers, parents, and students are that group. Together, we aren't just a school—we are a movement dedicated to raising the next generation of thinkers, doers, and kind-hearted humans.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us. The future is bright! ☀️❄️
