Hardwater Warriors Alaska's Healing Hearts is a national organization offering year-round outdoor recreational opportunities for America’s brave wounded warriors.

Alaska's Healing Hearts is a national organization offering year-round outdoor recreation for America’s brave wounded warriors and their families. Rehabilitation activities include fishing, hunting, skiing, rodeo, dog sledding tours and various other outdoor pursuits. We continuously strive to provide new and challenging opportunities and experiences in an effort to contribute to the social reintegration necessary for our nation’s heroes. We endeavor to reach beyond the traditional clinical rehabilitation offered to injured military personnel by providing them with alternate coping techniques and helping them to continue living active and productive lives. Our Mission is to “Serve the Battle Wounded and Battle Weary.” Alaska’s Healing Hearts witnesses first-hand how our various programs and events genuinely help bolster confidence and self-esteem. Our goal is to continue providing opportunities that aid in the discovery of the new normal for every Warrior and their loved ones. We are able to do these great things because of our volunteer board and staff. We have no paid positions in our entire organization. We rely solely on funding from our sponsors with goods or services, and the hard work and time donated by our volunteers. Alaska's Healing Hearts is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt #27-4036000, non-profit organization. Hard Water Warriors is planning to hold instructed ice fishing trips to local Alaskan lakes for any and all veterans wanting to experience the best ice fishing in North America. AHH will be able to show these veterans comradery and the serenity and beauty of Alaska ice fishing. Ice Fishing demands cooperation and teamwork from setup to teardown, provides some of the best fishing experience you can ever have, and facilitates calming and decompressing coping techniques for all involved. Feel Free to share your experience and photos and recommendations!!!

After several windstorms and rescheduling....we were finally able to host these amazing families from Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson - JBER for an epic day of ice fishing! 🧊🐟 Look at these smiles and gorgeous views.🏔️🦅

We would like to extend our sincere appreciation to Palmer Elks Lodge, Palmer Ak for their hospitality and ongoing support of the Hardwater Program and Alaska's Healing Hearts. 👏 Our team of volunteers deserves special recognition for their tireless efforts in making each event a success, from drilling holes to teardown, and ensuring everyone feels welcome. It is essential to acknowledge that this program would not be possible without the contributions of our volunteers and donors.

We are grateful to our sponsors, as their support is crucial to Alaska's Healing Hearts a nonprofit organization. Drill Team Six Fishing Excursions, LLC, Kriner's Diner, Cabela's, Bass Pro Shops - Anchorage, AK , Alaska State Elks Association - ASEA, and the entire community that supports Alaska's Healing Hearts. ❤️

Today's event FINALLY happened after being postponed for the past couple of weeks due to either having 90mph wind gusts or we were coming off a -26 cold snap. For most families this was their first time ice fishing 🧊🐟 and all we can say is that they are hooked! They were spoiled with a day of ice fishing, campfire, lunch, and beautiful views.
