We also spread patriotism in our community. The VFW Auxiliary is one of the nation’s oldest veterans’ service organizations and our members are the relatives of those who have served in a location of foreign conflict. We have nearly half a million members nationwide who volunteer millions of hours and fundraise millions of dollars for charitable projects that benefit veterans, military service per

sonnel, and their families. Through our National Programs, we assist the VFW pass or block legislation that impacts veterans and their families, provide nearly a million volunteer hours in the VA medical system, conduct patriotic programs with thousands of dollars in scholarships for our nation’s youth. With nearly 4,000 Auxiliaries, there is likely one in your area working to improve the lives of America’s uncommon heroes.

Hi everyone!

I know this is very last minute, but Commander Brian Flannagan has asked if Auxiliary members can help represent our veterans tonight at the Blooming Grove Town Board Work Session.

Vanessa Kelder will be presenting information on the RP-458-A 100% Disabled Veteran Exemption, which was recently expanded to provide a 100% property tax exemption for qualifying seriously disabled veterans and their surviving unremarried spouses.

Unfortunately, this meeting conflicts with the VFW's monthly meeting, so many of our veterans are unable to attend. As an Auxiliary, supporting our veterans is what we do, and our presence could make a meaningful difference.

Please join the meeting tonight if you are able. Thank you for always stepping up in support of our veterans and their families.
