U.S. House District 1 is on every Beaufort County ballot.
The Republican is Laurie Buckhout.

She is running on what eastern North Carolina families are paying. She says she will fight to cut taxes and lower the cost of living, and she will stand up for the farmers, fishermen, and seafood families who get pushed around by extra regulation.

Beaufort County is in this district. Mark Laurie Buckhout, then finish the rest of the ballot. A big turnout is a finished ballot, not a single oval.

Just a heads up.

🗓️ Our next Household Hazardous Waste Collection Event is scheduled for Saturday, October 24th, from 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. at Southside High School.

❗️Household hazardous waste materials contain corrosive, toxic, ignitable or reactive ingredients that require special care when disposed of. These items are not accepted at the County’s collection sites and, if not disposed of properly, can pose a threat to human health and the environment.

Proof of Beaufort County residency (driver's license or utility bill) will be required.

Beaufort County, it is time to vote.

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3. Polls will be open 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. ET. We want a big turnout. Do not leave your ballot to somebody else.

Sheriff: vote Sheriff Scott Hammonds, the Republican. The Democrat in that race is Corey Dixon. Make your vote for Hammonds.

County commissioner is a different line, and the ballot is specific. It says you may vote for ONE. The Republicans on that list are John T. Edwards, Ashley Woolard, and Stan Deatherage. Mark only one of those names. Do not mark more than one. We are not ranking them.

Registration is still open.
The deadline is 5 p.m. ET Friday, October 9.
