Mark your calendars to look for the yellow balloons around town that indicate the businesses that have generously given space to local art displays. Last night more than 70 young artists from our community were celebrated for their inspiring creativity by local professional artists, their parents, art teachers and our Rivertown Arts Foundation board. It was an amazing event celebrating young talent! YOU and your family can see all of the art selected for this juried Youth Art Show this weekend at Liberty Hall Cultural Center in Downtown Washington.

This is a free community event, so make plans to visit today through Sunday (gallery hours are on the last slide).

Special thanks to our sponsors for supporting what we hope is the first of an annual event! This year’s show was open to students who live in the boundaries of the School District of Washington, but next year it will be open to children in the much wider areas of our community!
