It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Jack Pascal this past Saturday.
Jack was a long-time resident of Washington, CT and an active member of the community. He served as an EMT with the Washington Ambulance Association for 16 years and was named provider of the year in 2016. Jack was also an officer in the Lion's Club. A proud Army veteran who served in Vietnam, Jack continued his commitment to service globally as Senior Economic Advisor in the USAID Office of Economic Governance and with the Provincial Reconstruction Team in Iraq. He was a graduate of the University of Notre Dame.
Jack will be forever remembered for his smile, wit, debonair charm, compassion, and steadfast dedication to the Washington Ambulance Association and our community.
Our sincere condolences go out to Jack's family at this difficult time.

Sincere thanks for everyone supporting our volunteer EMS during . Your support means a great deal to us. These donations will be put to good use right away by funding our Operational Expenses and saving money for Capital Expenditures like ambulance replacement. We are grateful to Connecticut Community Foundation for making Give Local 2026 possible and so successful. This has been such a difference maker for our small non-profit over the past 10 years as far as raising funds and awareness. Washington Connecticut is such a great place to live and we are proud to serve our community in such a meaningful way.

As Winter Storm Benjamin moves into Connecticut, both ambulances are fully staffed at headquarters throughout today and into tomorrow to ensure coverage throughout town. Please stay warm, maintain at least three feet of clearance around heating appliances, and remember that our crews are ready to respond if you need us.

Please be advised that 9-1-1 service has been fully restored in Litchfield County. Remember to use this number strictly for emergencies. Please do not call 9-1-1 to test the service.

Please be advised that the state 9-1-1 system is currently experiencing an outage.

We have established a temporary 10-digit emergency number: 860-782-0523, which will ring into LCD. Only call if you have an emergency.

The restoration time for 9-1-1 is currently TBD.
