The Washington Bandits Softball Club was founded in 2012 and we are currently preparing for our third season. We have expanded from one team in 2012/2103 season to three teams in 2014/2015. None of this would have been possible without the financial support of our generous sponsors. Philosophy & Mission:
The Washington Bandits Club is dedicated to promoting excellence in girls’ fast pitch softball
. Our goal is to teach the fundamentals of fast pitch softball in a healthy, safe and positive environment while reinforcing the values of teamwork, sportsmanship, and ethical standards required to keep the interest of the young ladies. Our club provides local area youth an opportunity to learn and develop the basic mental and physical skills of softball. We are committed to fostering a sense of good sportsmanship, teamwork, and the rewards of effort to promote positive social, emotional, and physical development in our players. It is also our goal to help create positive memories that will last a lifetime and transfer to success in all areas of life. Our philosophy is to use positive teaching strategies, affirmation, and opportunities for correct repetitive practice to continuously improve our players’ skills. Our goal is to instill strong fundamentals and understanding of game strategy, not to win every game. The wins will come when our players have a chance to solidify their fundamentals and gain confidence in themselves, and this requires a supportive learning environment year round.
