Welcome to Kiwanis Club of Washington, GA! The Kiwanis Club of Washington was the 312th club organized under Kiwanis International on September 29, 1920 (we just celebrated our 106th birthday!)

The Kiwanis Club of Washington GA is proud to announce the recipients of the 2026 Kiwanis Civic Scholarship: Sophia Eligio and Jonathan Conard! 🎉

Because of the incredible support our community has shown the Kiwanis Club over the past year, we were honored to award two $1,000 scholarships this year to outstanding students who exemplify civic duty and community service.

⭐ Sophia Eligio is the valedictorian of her class and serves as President of the WWCHS Key Club. Her service projects include volunteering as a teacher at Washington Dance Academy, trash pickup efforts, visits to personal care homes, donations to the animal shelter, helping with the Spring Tour of Homes, and delivering dictionaries to local 3rd graders. Sophia plans to pursue a PhD in Psychology.

⭐ Jonathan Conard is an active member of Washington First Methodist Church where he participates in the men’s group, serves on the usher team, helps prepare communion elements, and has led scripture readings during Sunday services. He also serves as a youth leader during Vacation Bible School. Jonathan plans to pursue a degree in Construction Management at Georgia Southern University.

Their dedication to serving others and their strong civic mindset will take them far in life. Please join us in congratulating Sophia and Jonathan on this well-deserved honor and wishing them continued success in their future endeavors! 💙💛

Deadline is next week!

Applications for the 2026 Kiwanis Scholarship are now open! Each year the Kiwanis Club of Washington Georgia provides a $1000 scholarship to a Washington-Wilkes Comprehensive High School Senior. This is one of the many ways we put money raised back into our community.

Deadline to turn in the form is April 25, 2026. Completed forms are to be turned into the high school counselor.

The rain held off and Saturday was a beautiful day for the Spring Festival and Tour of Homes Washington, GA! We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make the Tour of Homes such a wonderful success!

This event is one of the largest fundraisers of the year for the Kiwanis Club of Washington Georgia and the Washington Woman’s Club, and it truly takes a community effort to bring it all together. Every dollar made from the tour goes right back into our community!

First and foremost, we extend our deepest appreciation to the homeowners who so generously opened their homes to the public. Your willingness to share your spaces and stories is what makes this tour so special.

A very special thank you to Debbie Wells for her leadership in facilitating the Art Show at the Livery—it was a highlight of the day!

We are also so thankful for our amazing docents, our tour car drivers, fellow Kiwanians Mark & Rick from Kiwanis Club of Uptown Augusta, GA (KCUA), the Washington First Methodist Church (the van was a hit!) and the Wilkes County GA Sheriff's Office for helping keep everyone safe throughout the event.

Art Contest: All youth interested in competing in the art contest please contact Roxeann Cobb or Juan Jackson. We will judge the artwork May 15, 2026, and the artwork will go on the front of the T-shirts for this event and receive a $25 gift card.

⏩Complimentary All-Day Tour Shuttle Service: Provided by the Washington Kiwanis Club.

⏩An exclusive event luncheon (11:30 and 12:30 seating) is provided by and will be served at the Washington Woman’s Club. Tickets required.

⏩The Art Show held at the Court Street Livery, is free and open to the public 10A-5P.
