The American Red Cross Preschool Aquatics program is designed for children ages 3–5 to learn foundational water safety and swimming skills independently, without a parent in the water.
Classes are for children ages 3+ who are potty trained and comfortable participating with an instructor without their parent in the water. This is a progressive program, meaning classes become more advanced as children develop their skills. Children must demonstrate the required skills to advance to the next level.

Preschool 2 Prerequisite: Passed Red Cross Preschool 1 or Starfish level Red, and the swimmer can float independently on front and back, be comfortable jumping in/submerging, and putting their face in the water.
