Marie Exotics Reptile Rescue We are a licensed 501c3 nonprofit organization focused on the rescue and rehabilitation of non-native species.

We believe it is important to educate and spread awareness of these animals in their duties & importance to the environment as well as their lifestyles in their natural habitats. To help in doing so we offer educational programs such as school events, attending local business programs, and birthday parties. These events offer a hands-on experience with a variety of animals. We go over the health,

care, and requirements of animals in addition to some fun facts about the species we bring. We do not bring venomous species to our events or environment sensitive/easily stressed animals. We also do not bring aquatics such as fish or axolotls to events. The animals we can bring is dependent on their health and living schedules at that time. Attention!

Important post.

We are currently not accepting anymore animals needing medical attention at this time.

Unfortunately times are tough and we have quite a few critical needs babies here that we need to focus on with the little support we get.

We did not do well at either of our expos this weekend. At all. Which hurts us severely and really limits what we can do.

As a 501c3 non-profit charity, we are at a standstill. We just do not see the support we did a few years ago.

We have quite a few animals here ongoing medical attention, a chicken coop we are needing built for chickens that were living in a storage tote, 2 very critically needs animals, and two very high utilities we need to focus on (car repair and electric again which is 1300).

Donations are what we rely on to operate. We are 100% volunteer based and non-paid. Even the owners. Tax deducrible donations can be made via paypal here:

We haven't gotten donations much. We're struggling as is. If this occurs we may have to consider our options.

He is still alive, spicy, sassy, and fighting!

We did have him tested for crypto - that is our first step in sick leopard geckos and he was negative. This was pure neglect and starvation. With that said, he is still quarentined and nowhere near other animals. We take precautions pretty seriously here.

We do have others way of donating besides the Facebook button (that takes a month to get to us).

We took a family hike at Ohiopyle a few days ago. It was much needed. Nature is beautiful! It was nice being able to get away for a little bit!

Back to work we go though!

Recently we have had quite a few surrenders, both some healthy and some not and a few are very critical.

The Tegu and leopard gecko are very very critical. I can literally count every bone in their bodies. We had 4 angelfish surrendered that have a fungus and have lost one if their eyes and we have a tortoise that is ongoing beak trims for a pretty severe underbite.

We could really use help with veterinary costs. Donations have been pretty slow again and our resources are dwindling pretty quickly.

I dont usually share these, but, Shelley was a good friend of mine. Someone I talk to almost daily.

She unexpectedly passed away.

If you knew Shelley, she has a heart of gold. She would give someone the shirt off her back even when she was struggling herself.

Shelley does not have any living family. This Gofundme was created to help cover her funeral expenses and lay her to rest where she can finally be at peace.
