Please spread the word! We have a schedule change for 9u/10u tryouts tomorrow!

8u and 11u/12u will remain the same!

Due to the significant rainfall we've received and the additional rain expected, we are adjusting the 9U/10U tryout schedule to avoid any early morning weather-related changes tomorrow.

Check-in will now begin at 5:00 PM, and tryouts will run from 5:30–7:30 PM.

We understand this change comes on short notice and sincerely hope as many players as possible can attend. However, we recognize that the updated time may not work for everyone, and that's completely understandable.

For those unable to attend on Saturday, we will be holding makeup tryouts at the Washington Wellness Park on:

Wednesday, July 15 from 6:00–8:00 PM
Thursday, July 16 from 6:00–8:00 PM

We apologize for any inconvenience this schedule change may cause. We are excited to see both new players and the continued growth of our returning athletes. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!

WASA Weekend Update

Both of our 12U teams were in action last weekend at the CIS Stars & Strikes tournament in the Des Moines area, and they absolutely showed out.

12U Orange – Came to play in their final C‑level tournament before officially being promoted to B. They went a perfect 4-0 in pool play, earning the #2 seed. They battled hard on Sunday, dropping their first bracket game, but bounced back in a big way—dominating their final game to finish 5th overall. They’ll be back on the field this Saturday in Independence, Iowa.

12U Black – Took on a tough field in the 12U Open division. They went 1-2-1 in pool play, including a tight one‑run loss and a huge 7‑run last‑inning comeback to tie their final pool game. On Sunday, they made a run in the Silver bracket—winning a close first game, then storming back with a 5‑run comeback in the semifinal before walking it off in the bottom of the 5th with a double. They ultimately fell in the championship, earning Silver Bracket Runner‑Up medals. They’ll be back in action Saturday and Sunday in Iowa City.

We are incredibly proud of both teams for grinding through 6–7 games each, competing with heart, and representing WASA with pride. Keep working hard, girls—your growth shows every weekend.
